Here’s one of some health and safety cartoons I drew recently to highlight health and safety hazards within a quarry environment…
Quarrying is one of the most dangerous industries to work in, since the year 2000 over 3000 workers have suffered an injury and 24 of those being fatal.
If one of my health and safety cartoons helps cut out one of these the health and safety manager and myself would have done a worthwhile job!
You can purchase this cartoon directly from the main web site at: http://www.cartoonmotivators.com/QuarrySafetyHazards.html
It is A4 in size: 29.7 cm wide x 21 cm deep. Some of the hazards illustrated in this cartoon are: Guy climbing on truck putting sheeting on. Guy stood on railings over reaching to paint. Guy stood on the forks of a fork lift truck. Guy walking while on the phone, not noticing trip hazard wires on the ground. Guy smoking near flammable liquids.

Ok, ok! I know it’s not Christmas yet! So I thought I’d just remind you that it’s time to commission your health and safety cartoon design to show your employees that will enhance their safety.
The cartoon below has a double purpose – one, was to wish a Merry Christmas and two, keep safety in mind when you’re doing your Christmassy things like putting up the tree etc.
I do other corporate and personal Christmas card designs besides health and safety cartoons and you can see samples at the following web page:

The idea behind health and safety cartoons is to ask your employees to see how many hazards they can find in the illustration. Sort of a visual game for them to play. Then hopefully the messages will sink into their subconscious!

Basic health and safety cartoons are actually a simple and efficient way of having the content out to the involved individuals without the need for much next.
People do not frequently read wording given out to them however any cartoon can summarize most of the text yet still get the safety idea throughout.
The purchase of these health and safety cartoons could prevent an accident and save time filling in ‘accident books’

Most organisations primarily use the health and safety cartoons as posters, usually updating them on a regular basis. Others use them in their monthly newsletters to employees or email them. This keeps employees informed of any ongoing health and safety issues.
Here’s a few safety quotes to remind you that you must always be aware of H & S issues…
“Crushed Hands Or Missing Fingers May Affect Your Golf Swing.”
“Do the do’s not the don’ts!”
“Don’t learn safety by accident!”
Health and safety cartoons are available for purchase from my main site – remember if you stop one accident you will have paid for it many times over.
Health and safety cartoons can save lives!
For an owner to demonstrate commitment in their establishment, they have to show that they advocate for health and safety in the work environment. They can do this by putting up health and safety cartoon awareness posters in different areas for the work place. This is in order to make people aware of possible risks and danger around them. One of the places that a person can issue health and safety cartoon posters is during a meeting. It is best done when orientating new comers, during training, problem solving meetings or even on a regular safety meeting.
Health and Safety cartoons are an easy and effective way of getting the message out to the concerned persons without needing much text.
People do not often read text handed out to them but a cartoon will be able to summarize most of the text and still get the safety tip across. These posters can prevent accidents and alert a person of any potential danger ahead even as they are walking past it. Health and safety cartoons can be done on different printing materials such as brochures, handbooks, magazines, newsletters, notice boards, billboards and statistical reports. They need to be attractive and meaningful, that way people can take the time to read the summarized text.
